The ReadingPen took about an hour to set up and learn to use. It would be helpful if the definitions and synonyms for highlighted words could be read aloud (audio output). If a student can't read the word, how can they read the definition?

This revolutionary personal reading assistant helps define complicated words for students with reading difficulties or learning disabilities. Students scan a single word, sentence, or paragraph and in seconds, the words are spoken aloud and displayed in large font on the built-in LCD screen. Words can be divided into syllables, and synonyms are given from the thesaurus. Transfer words to a PC for further practice or upload text from the PC to the pen. For easy review, it also retains a history of the last 80 words scanned. Pen comes pre-loaded with dictionaries and thesauruses.
ReadingPen® TS comes with a protective carrying case, USB cable, earphones, user manual, clip-on scanning trainer, and batteries. Measures 7"x1-5/8"x1". Compatible with Windows XP & Vista.
