This reproducible binders features low reading levels and age-appropriate illustrations to make the short, high-interest passages and activities appealing to struggling readers. Features 28-30 one-page stories, or shorts, that focus on key historical concepts. Follow-up activities include multiple-choice, short-answer, and extension questions as well as crossword puzzles. A one-page quiz with questions written in standardized test format, assesses students' understanding of the most important information. Binder 1 covers pre-colonization through reconstruction.
Binder 2 covers the Mid-1800s through the present.
